Case Study of Recent Large Project in Oxford Street, Paddington Sydney

Published On: August 15, 2017

One of the best jobs that Faraday Group has had the privilege of working on was the renovation of a property in Oxford Street, Paddington in the eastern suburb in Sydney.

This job involved the conversion of an old church and adjacent Manse (home for nuns and priests), as part of a large residential and commercial project.

The old church turned into luxury apartments and a retail property. The old church was turned into 9 luxury high end apartments comprising of two and three bedrooms. One area of the old church was refurbished into a cafe.

The luxury apartments had a range of electrical work required:

    • Clipsal CBUS Control installed through-out
    • Foxtel Provision
    • NBN provision (still to come to that part of Sydney)
    • Access Control for Security (CCTV and swipe cards)
    • Fire Systems
  • LED lighting to meet latest standards

In addition to the apartments being constructed, the new Manse was refurbished into a two storey heritage home. And the old Manse was refurbished into office space.

The small cafe on the site on Oxford Street is a space where anyone can enjoy a tea or coffee and sit outside the cafe.

See some pictures below which show the light fittings and the power points in the luxury apartments.
